God's People Are Everywhere

Yesterday on the plane home I noticed the man next to me reading what appeared to be a large print New Testament in Korean. The leather binding, india paper and chapter numbers in red all seemed very Bible-like.

Reaching into my backpack I pulled out my travel Bible (This one), first pointing to it, and then to the book the man was reading. His face brightened, and for the next half hour we enjoyed the sweet fellowship of those who believe the gospel.

Pastor Kim and his wife are missionaries to the United States working in an eastern state. He explained that he preaches in Korean with two “simultaneous translators”, one in English and the other in Spanish.

I don’t know exactly what type of theology his church teaches. The language issue and context (being on a crowded plane) precluded going into such details. However, he was very clear to stress Justification by Faith, and the righteousness of Christ which is imputed to us when we believe.

God’s people are everywhere!

It was such a blessing to me to meet this Christian man.

Be willing to let your light shine. Read your Bible in public sometimes. You don’t know who you might encourage by your visible example.

May the Lord richly bless you today, this year, and always. Amen.
